We are the premier provider of adult day health services and as a Senior Accountant for Active Day you will report directly to the VP of Finance, in our corporate office in Trevose, PA. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Senior accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. Senior Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• General ledger accounting including preparation, posting and documentation of journal entries.
• Monthly reconciliation/research of the balance sheet accounts and bank accounts
• Assist with budget variance reports at month end with an explanation of variances
• Assist with monthly cash flow analysis for corporate entities
• Assist with audit/tax at year end
• Special projects and reports
• Cash reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum Two (2) years in an accounting role, preferably in a healthcare industry
• Strong computer proficiency with MS Office
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Effective communicator with solid interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Multi-location accounting experience preferred
• Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
