Active Day has an available opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA to join our team!

Our CNAs are crucial to our success and our Center's overall member experience! Our CNAs can do it all as they provide supportive and functional care to our members. Our CNAs assist members with activities, personal and medical care, meals, and on- and off-site social activities. Yes, our CNAs are most definitely ACTIVE and you will want to join this team NOW!

Responsibilities

Our Certified Nursing Assistants / CNAs have many responsibilities, including but not limited to:  

  • Assisting members with activities of daily living and personal care 
  • Assisting with the planning and facilitation of creative and diverse therapeutic recreational programs and encourage member participation.
  • Serving meals and assisting with feeding
  • Ensuring our members know they are in a loving, caring, and understanding environment – and bring a smile to our members’ faces! 

Qualifications

Our Certified Nursing Assistants / CNAs will have the following qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CNA certification.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of one-year full-time equivalent experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred.
  • This is a very physical job - we are ACTIVE Day after all!  As a result, you will need to be able to:
    • Push, pull, lift, transfer, pivot at least 50 pounds. 
    • Sit, Stand and/or Walk up to 8 hours a day
