Responsibilities

As a Job Developer your responsibilities include:  

 

  • Assist individuals with obtaining competitive employment that closely fits their vocational goal and abilities
  • Cultivate employment opportunities with employers in the community and maintains awareness of local job market, employers’ needs and expectations.
  • Proactively market job development programming and individuals to employers in the community.
  • Provide Job Seeking Skills Training to Individuals.
  • Maintain regular contact with employers to monitor individuals employment outcomes/satisfaction and retention.
  • Represent Active Day at trade shows, forums and other appropriate venues.

Qualifications

As a Job Developer your qualifications include:

 

  • High School degree or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation: You will be required to use your own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage.
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP™) required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Developmental Disability agency and/or working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Prior Case Management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
