Active Day’s transportation team is growing and we are looking for a Fleet safety & compliance manager to work at our home office in Trevose, PA.

Job Summary

At Active Day, it is crucial that our Drivers are confident in the important role they serve and this includes ensuring they receive thorough and comprehensive training on all aspects of their job including but not limited to all safety protocols as well as all driving requirements to be successful - and remain safe - as an Active Day Driver.  Our Fleet Safety and Compliance oversees and enhances our fleet operations by using strong root-cause analysis and investigatory skills to review various transportation systems and  data to  identify any concerns as well as recommend specific training needs at our centers across the company.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA and Medicaid regulations.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including hours-of-service (HOS) rules, drug and alcohol testing, and vehicle maintenance standards.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors, including technology, risk management, and other service providers.
  • Driver Training and Development: Conduct regular safety training sessions for drivers, focusing on defensive driving, accident prevention, passenger handling, and compliance requirements.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize fleet management systems like Geotab, Surfside camara or Fleetio to analyze data, identify trends, and generate reports to improve safety performance.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Insurance and claims: report, monitor, and track all auto related claim. Work with carrier and team to resolve and improve loss experience
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in DOT, FMCSA, and Medicaid regulations and ensure timely implementation of updates.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

 

  • High school degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in fleet safety and compliance management, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations. Medicaid transportation knowledge a plus
  • Strong understanding of fleet management systems, such as Geotab, Fleetio and camera systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to train, mentor and supervise others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in excel, word, PowerPoint, outlook, Teams, and other operating systems
