Overview

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – DAILY PAY AVAILABLE

Part-Time - Monday – Friday from 10am-2pm. Occassional Saturdays as well 8am-1pm

Active Day is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and make a daily difference in the lives of adults in a supportive care environment.

Our CNAs deliver compassionate, hands-on care and support our members through their daily activities, meals, and social programming. If you are team-oriented, energetic, and passionate about helping others, we want to meet you!


Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing personal care services and support with activities of daily living (ADLs) to members of our adult day center. This includes assisting with mobility, hygiene, feeding, recreational activities, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility assistance.

  • Assist with feeding and meal service.

  • Monitor and report changes in condition or behavior to nursing staff.

  • Support members in recreational and therapeutic activities, both on-site and off-site.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive care environment.

  • Demonstrate professional and compassionate interaction with members, families, and team members.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificationactive and in good standing.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in caregiving or personal care assistance (preferred).

  • Ability to lift, transfer, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

  • Basic understanding of infection control, universal precautions, and first aid.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities or special needs.

  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills (a plus).
