As Director of Transportation, you will oversee all transportation functions across almost 100 centers and 10 regions (and growing!). This includes strategic planning and oversight of transportation operations, fleet management, route optimization, compliance with federal and state transportation regulations, and budgetary oversight.  You will provide leadership to Transportation Managers and field leaders and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for our members through effective coordination, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a key leader, they set the tone for safety, service, and operational excellence while actively identifying opportunities to enhance transportation services company-wide

Responsibilities

  • Lead all transportation operations nationally, including strategic planning and oversight of transportation P&L.
  • Supervise and mentor Transportation Managers, cultivating a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Oversee training programs focused on safety, service, and regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize member transportation routes using routing and fleet management software.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, ADA, Medicaid, and state regulations.
  • Manage vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and lifecycle planning in collaboration with Regional Directors.
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for transportation-related incidents and concerns.
  • Lead internal audits and risk assessments related to transportation.
  • Partner with internal teams to implement new systems and technologies that improve service delivery and efficiency.
  • Travel to sites and centers as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, enter and exit vehicles when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Healthcare Admin, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of multi-site transportation or operations leadership
  • Strong understanding of DOT, ADA, and Medicaid regulations
  • Experience with routing software and fleet management tools
  • Proven skills in team leadership, project management, and data analysis
  • Experience working with aging adults or individuals with special needs (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet credentialing requirements
